Rules of Conduct

Although we know that no one is perfect (except Jesus), and that we are all creatures of a fallen state in our flesh, we expect a good report on the behavioral conduct of our students. Due to the fact that we are a Christian College, we ask that our students set an example that is consistent with our Lord’s desire as it is outlined in scriptures. The following pledge is a requirement to those seeking participation in our college.

Student Chapel / Lab Church

All students are required to participate at scheduled Lab Church. This will be considered as their “External Ministry” to complete their final diploma. The school of ministry will require all students to do a mock funeral, wedding and a water baptism which they will video tape and send to the school. This will give the Academic Dean and the school President an opportunity to monitor the student, and thus make the appropriate recommendations for licensing and ordinations. Failure would mean that neither the Academic Dean nor the President is responsible to sponsor or recommend a student for ministry.

Student I.D. Badges

Each student is given a student identification badge bearing his/her name. There is a fee for all replacement badges.

Worldly Personal Habits

All MBC students are expected to abstain entirely from pornography, the use of tobacco, alcoholic beverages and illicit drugs. No music, videos, printed material, appearance or behaviour promoting worldly standard is allowed on School property.

My pledge

1

To uphold the ideals of Christ, as an example, which includes a godly lifestyle.

Paul states in1 Corinthians 9.14  Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

2

To remain steadfast in prayer and reading the Word of God.

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

3

To participate in working for the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:58  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

4

To show a willingness to fellowship with other committed Christians, setting an example of Christ.

Hebrews 10.24-25 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more as ye see the day approaching.

5

To keep a meek and humble spirit, respecting others and those in authority.

Matthew 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

6

To have a willingness to evangelize, spreading the gospel of Christ.

Matthew 25.40 Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

7

To have a true desire to prepare myself for each class so that I can benefit from what is being thought.

2 Timothy 2.15 Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be
ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Things To Know First

Since approval of the college is mandatory, each student will be given a fair evaluation through their answers on the application, their references and their testimony, regarding experience, desire, and "sin" within the last 3 years.  All answers are confidential, and will be evaluated by our staff.  It is possible that the student may not be accepted due to answers on the application, or that the student may be allowed to enroll in the college on a probationary status.

LICENSES AND ORDINATIONS

MBS support students in the licensing and ordination process.

Students who are currently pastoring full-time are supported in receiving their marriage license
through the Ontario Government.

Students are assisted in launching out new ministries or expanding what God has already called them
to.

There are three categories each student has the option of choosing.

1

Mother – daughter = The Mother-Daughter concept raises expectations – the expectations of a segment in the Christian world that has often been overlooked. As many believes ministry is a “one man/woman” concept. However this innovative program helps young ministers and their God given ministry to create their own hopes and their own bright futures. Students become well connected to MBC and are supported 100% to follow the God given call. The college maintains a close relationship, however allows ministry to remain independent. MBC becomes a covering and maintains a close link.

2

Adoption = Adoption is a process through which a student becomes a part of a new family, MBC. It is intended to provide the student with permanence and support that requires commitment, patience and skill. It the act of accepting with approval; favorable reception. MBC is interested in working with ministers who are willing to pursue the call of God upon their lives. Adoption is almost the same concept as mother-daughter. MBC adopts a ministry. Although the ministry functions independent, MBC supports 100% and a close link is
maintained.

3

Partnership = This is a strategic alliance or relationship between a student and MBC.  Successful partnerships are based on trust, equality, and mutual understanding and obligations.  Partnerships can be formal, where each party's roles and obligations are spelled out in a written agreement, or informal, where the roles and obligations are assumed or agreed to verbally.  MBC will help to bridge barriers, and perform work efficiently without any obligations. It is important for both parties to be open-minded and accepting of each other's differences.  There must be a willingness to learn and adapt.
